Dunmore is a document that was signed by Murray Jon in 1775 who was the governor if the British colonies during the time. According to the proclamation, the martial law promised freedom of the slaves in America who had left their families to join the royal families

The declaration gave the slaves the right to fight for freedom. The government also supported them by giving them the populace that gave them the different alignment of the undecided Virginians who were against the British.
