The two ways by which progressivism can be reduced or made little are by reducing racial segregation and assisting the growth of workers' unions.

By this progressivism has gradually reduced but was not fully eliminated. Thus this can reduced or eliminated to a considerable extend by reducing racial segregation (desegregation) and also by assisting the growth of workers union.
