    ''Thomas E. Watson'' was elected in the ''Georgia General Assembly'' in 1882. Throughout the duration, he served as an elected representative which was short but was an essential one. Although Watson supported black enfranchisement for long in Georgia and throughout the South, but he changed his stand by 1904.

    Since Georgia governance were widely accepted, Henry W. Grady have become more committed to the development of the state. Yet Grady's New South was not yet generally accepted after all those successes. Grady said that the people of color had been fairly treated in Georgia and around the South.
