The North and South were both affected by the tariff, but only one of them had a good attitude а bout: The North. The South felt that the passed high protective tariff only benefited the North rather than the southern states. This meant that the North became industrialized, while the South had become agricultural. While the North is able to get their own goods, the South had to buy any and ALL manufactured goods.
