Railroad workers' 1894 boycott of trains carrying Pullman cars after Pullman workers, suffering radically reduced wages, joined the American Railway Union (ARU) and union leaders were fired in response. The boycott ended after the U. S. Army fired on strikers and ARU leader Eugene Debs was jailed.

This strike obstructed the rail business in the Midwest of the U. S. This strike began in an acknowledgement to a reduction in wages of the workers of the Pullman Company. An end was put on to this strike by the Army of the United States. who began a fire on the strikers and American Railway Union leader Eugene Debs was put in jail.
