    After so many years of war, death, and destruction, United States President Harry S. Truman had mo make a difficult and controversial decision. He ordered to launch the atomic bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in order to quickly end the war. The bomb exploded over Hiroshima on August the 6th and overNagasaki on August the 9th. After this, Japan surrendered and World War II was over.
