    Population shift in America between 1860 and 1920:

    In the later period of 1800 many people from various parts of the world shifted to the United Nations seeking for employment and many fled due to the increasing famine and rising taxes in their countries. In some countries people fled due to major political reasons like the religious cause and with the hope of being relieved from persecution.

    It was estimated that with the hope for bright future many people migrated to United States was over 12 million. The majority of the people were from Ireland, Germany and England and they immigrated before the civil war.
