The Connecticut Plan also known as the Great Compromise was a compromise between the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan that created a two house Congress. Representation was based on population in the House of Representatives and equal representation for the states in the Senate. The Great Compromise is still established today in our government and allows the Senate and the House of Representatives to work together.
