What was life like for immigrants after they entered the United States in the late 1800's?

    Black people back in 1800s were treated wrongly. Hung, wiped, raped and forced to work or they'd die. They never got paid for what they did and never got fed depending on who they worked for. I'd say it's a lot better now days but they are still treated with disrespect and I strongly agree that it's not right and they should never have a name for them such as immigrants because it's incredibly wrong and disrespectful!

    Answer:1. it was very hard for the immigrants when they first entered the united states. Everyone hated them and didn't want them to come. They didn't have jobs and people laughed at them.

    Explanation: I dont think that the ideas of americans today on immigrants are different. People still don't like them and treat them rudely.
