    Answer: it was necessary to leave medieval approach to the world and knowledge. Medieval science was too theologized and too concentrated to too abstract notion of God. However, change took place within church (Albertus Magnus, Nicolas d'Oresme, Roger Bacon, William Occam and others) ... the change = to be opened to nature, experimenting with nature, observing the nature. That is the main characteristic of change towards scientific revolution that led to industrialization.

    Explanation: Initiator of this change is northern Europe.
