In America government is based on public elections.

In the democratic system the government is selected through the public or any eligible candidate of a particular state. Sir Eugene Volokh, UCLA School of Law in USA has stated America as a Democratic-Republic country.

In America, the major decisions of the country are taken by the process of democratic election or public election and other decisions were made by the representatives who are democratically elected.

America also has a constitutional democracy in the matters of law.
