6. Why were the Articles of Configuration replaced?

The Articles of Confederation were causing the national government to grow weak and this didn't let them enforce the law and led to a loss of power. It basically crippled the governemnt with no regulation of trade, no uniform system of currency, and no power of taxation.

The need for a stronger Federal government soon became apparent and eventually led to the Constitutional Convention in 1787. The present United States Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation on March 4, 1789
