    Explanation:

    Following the advice of a counselor, emperor Qin Shi Huang Di ordered to burn all previously existing books, except some categories. His purpose was to avoid scholarly comparisons between his kingdom and those of the past. Only books on astrology, medicine, agriculture, divination and history of the Qin empire were saved.
