    The American public did nothing ... the Patriot Act suspended the Bill of Rights; A law passed shortly after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States giving law enforcement agencies increased, broad powers to bring terrorists to justice. The USA Patriot Act is an acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism.

    I believe that the American citizens would be worried for one thing. The Bill of Rights contained the rights that people have as an American and if those rights were striped away from them like that, it would bring fear to Americans across the country. It's like taking away people's humanity.
