Federalists and Democratic Republicans emerged after the Whiskey Rebellion

    Explanation:

In 1794 a protestation took place against the whiskey tax decreed by the federal government in west Pennsylvania known as the "Whiskey Rebellion". The distillers and farmers initiated the rebellion during the reign of George Washington.

It gave birth to the first ever political party known as Federalist Party of USA (1790-1802). Federal officials started working on the "whiskey tax" enacted by Alexander Hamilton.

"Democratic republican party" was formed in opposition with the Federalist Party under Thomas Jefferson and James Modison in 1792. They protested against the ill policies of the Federalist Party.
