    Thomas Hobbes was an English philosopher, who is considered to be the founder of modern political philosophy. Hobbes was the first influential philosopher to apply methods of Enlightenment science to politics. Thomas Hobbes's views on government were that the state or society cannot be secure unless at the disposal of an absolute sovereign and also said that absolute monarchy was the only true and correct form of government.
