Shays's Rebellion was a protest of the ex-revolutionaries who became farmers against the economic policies of the state in 1786, by the farmers of Western Massachusetts led by Daniel Shays's. By 1787, it became a full military confrontation. Ex-revolutionaries took the farming job but the taxes on them were higher than in the British period and the inability to pay taxes resulted in the foreclosure of property. At the time of this rebellion, the United States was governed by Article of Confederation and the rebellion exposed the weakness of the Congress to deal with the situation.
