The ideas of Renaissance had a wider impact on the society, not only in Europe, but also outside. People started gaining more knowledge, which was easily spread with the invention of printing press. What is important to add that Renaissance started spreading the secular ideas, which were not easily accepted by the authorities and church. Renaissance affected Enlightenment, American Revolution and many other events because it put a focus on individuals, stressing out that no one has divine right to rule in the name of God, but that political freedoms should be given to everyone. That is why during the American Revolution it was said that "all men are born equal" and that is why French Enlightenment movement discussed about necessity of including everyone and giving political rights to everyone.

    Explanation:

During the middle ages the church and absolute monarchies dominated the whole Europe. Knowledge was totally in their hands, so it was hard to spread scientific ideas without the influence of church. Still, with Renaissance everything started changing. Church and rulers were not in the focus, because Renaissance ideals were mostly connected with the Antique and the ideas of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.
