    It is about the history of Hudson river that how it came to be known as "Hudson river". So, to find out this we will now go back to the era of 1609, in the month of September 3, 1609. There was a dutch sailor named Henry Hudson along with his crew members who were on a voyage to the northeast.

    Explanation:

    As they were traveling through Atlantic ocean. They faced strong winds and a storm unfortunately which made it very hard for them to reach there desired destination. So, they changed there plans to find a new way. As they did not wanted to return to there base with no positive report. So, they changed there direction.

    And as they passed by an island which is now known as Manhattan. They traveled across a river which was then named as"Hudson river" by them. But as they traveled further all did not went well for the crew and the ship, as after covering some distance they did not reached the Pacific ocean and stopped near New York. After which they turned all around and started there voyage again to look for new destinations around the globe.
