The main objective of this agreement was to allow the commerce, navigation, and the good relationship between USA and Britain. The treaty was initially proposed by Alexander Hamilton and then it was accepted by the president George Washington. According to this proposal two different parties were divided, in one side the pro-treaty (Federalists) and the anti-Treaty (Republicans).
