Answer: Well there is a LOT of different advancements such as when the plow was made, there also when tractors were made so there was a lot you could do with those such as spreading fertilizer, digging lines into spots where crops can be, travel around the property, seed spreading, ECT. There is also slash and burn which was a method used by the Mayan's to create a certain type of nutrients that are great for plants. there is also terracing which is a method of farming that allows farmers to plant crops on mountain sides.

Explanation: For real though, if you do a little bit of research you can find a lot. I can't even remember most of the farming methods that i have learned from school because there is too many.
