Why was the Boston Tea Party called a Tea Party?

    because it seemed that when they threw the tea in the water it made a big cup of tea for the fishes

    The British put a High tax on things like tea without representation so Boston took a stand using a political protest were they dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbour
