O the final battle in the American Indian Wars.

    Explanation:

It was the final battle in the conflict of native American and United States military forces in which many native Americans perished including women and children. U. S army's seventh cavalry surrounded the Sioux chief. Bigfoot with his band near Wounded Knee Creek and demanded them to surrender. Although it was named as a battle but the chances were bleak as troops were heavily armed and the native Indian band had no chance to fight. Some historians called the massacre a response to the defeat of the regiment in the battle of Little Bighorn.
