    Birmingham demonstrations were led by Martin Luther King who became famous in fight for the racial discrimination. The practice of non violent protest is one rule which Dr. King had given to his demonstrators.

    Explanation:

    Birmingham city was a place which was racially divided and many African Americans were oppressed. Blacks faced many disparities which were legal and social differentiation too. It was demonstration led by the blacks to pressure the business leaders to open employment opportunities for the black too. When adult volunteers were ill treated and turned down by the police, many college students, were trained for demonstration.

    Dr. King asked the teenagers to practice nonviolence and directed them for a peaceful walk to The Mayor' place in order to talk about the ongoing segregation in the society. the student's peaceful protest attracted the attention of many. In spite of this, many students were arrested by the police. This demonstration paved way for passing of the famous civil rights act.
