It was said that the Civil War was "a rich man's war but a poor man's fight." Write a paragraph explaining the statement and how well it applies to both the North and the South.

    The Civil War was a nightmare for both North and South.

    Explanation:

    Thousands of people died during the Civil War and it changed both regions.

    The south was destroyed cities, farms and factories were destroyed due to the long Civil war, people had to rebuild their economy.

    The war brought freedom to people who were enslaved, but most had to lose homes and jobs southern people need to make new ways to make their economies work.

    The North grew stronger because there was few or little fighting, factories and the railroad was growing faster after the post-war.
