A. Building of industries

The new south was a name that was given after the war that occurred in the south. The idea behind the name new south is to promote industrialization railroad expansion and the breakup of large plots of planter land. The name was popularized by Grady in lectures and books. Capital investment and diverse industries were two moving goals of the new south.
