Copperheads name provided by the Republicans as they were anti-war Democrats who rejected the war. Copperheads saw war as an unconstitutional interest and groundless to fight with one another in the same country. Copperheads began to believe that the war was not worth the price. One can say that the Copperheads were right in their position because when the war happened, it brought destruction and death. The South destructed, and its economy crumbled with fields full of wild bushes untamed.
