    The first Americans that may have arrived 40,000 years as waves of migrants from Asia. The great majotiry lived in Central and South America and were concentrated in 3 highly developed civilizations. The Mayas built remarkable cities in the rainforests of the Yucatan Pennisula. Then, the Aztec capital, Tenochtitlan, had a population of 200,000. The Incas in Peru developed a vast empire in South America. All three civilizations carried on trade, created calenders, and had crops that provided a stable food supply.

    One of the most well-known Native American influences on the US is in agriculture. Corn was one of the staple crops for many Native American tribes, and today, it is one of the most important crops cultivated and exported in the United States. Another aspect of American culture that has been influenced by Native Americans is the English language.
