World War 1 brought many changes in the American lives socially, politically and economically. These effects were still noticeable.

In the recession that followed the war, many people and institutions went bankrupt. But on the other hand, many reforms were introduced and implemented to rejuvenate the nation with new energy. These reforms granted women the right to vote. Also men gained new opportunities of growth. The negative and positive consequences of world war I are felt until to some extent right until today.
