    How did the American Revolution affect other countries? Well, it had nothing to do with slavery--A is wrong. Yes, a foreign government tried to punish Patriot leaders--but it was only one, the British. B is wrong. The countries weren't really affected by the war on the other side of the globe, C is wrong.

    But a lot of countries were inspired by our revolution ... and so they made their own republican revolutions too! D is right!

    Answer: Other republican groups fought to overthrow aristocratic governments.
