    It decreases manufacturing.

    Explanation:

The increase in trade relations between Canada and the United States decreases manufacturing in the United States.

Although the trade contact between Canada and the United States stood second largest in the world after the Chinese and US relations, after NAFTA's implementation, the manufacturing employment drop to 30%, During 1993 the 17.7 million of people were employed whereas it decreases to 12.3 million at the last month of 2016.

It is difficult to prove that whether NAFTA is responsible for the fall of the company or not but the hardest hit sector was the automotive industry in the US.

The industry was so hard hit that in June 2009, the American auto manufacturing employed only 623,000 people. Since then the figure has risen to 948,000, but it still remains 27% below its per-NAFTA level.

The increase in trade between Canada and the United States affects manufacturing in the United States by increasing it.

    Explanation:

The climate in Canada is not as favorable as it is in the United States to carry out the manufacturing of most things. Owing to this aspect, Canada imports more from the United States than it imports to it. Thus, it is clear that the increased trade between the US and Canada would result in increasing manufacturing in the US.
