    Nat Love is one of the most popular black cowboys who lived between 1854 and 1921. He spent most of his life as a cowboy in the Western part of the United States. He wrote a memoir on his life as a cowboy.

    Isom Dart lived between 1849 and 1900. His original name was Ned Huddleston. Although a cowboy, he became a notorious thief who stole cattle and horses. He had a bad reputation and he was shot by a bounty hunter who had been contracted by ranchers who lost their cattle and horses to him.
