    Puritans were the people who were Protestants and they believed that the Christian cathedrals required refinement which was mostly protested by King Charles who never allowed the reformation of the churches.

    Mayflower is the Ship which transported the Puritans in Plymouth Colony. The ship also carried many craftsmen and traders. Due to tempests and rain storms, the ship was anchored at Cape Cod. The food in ship was running short and this situation compelled the other non-puritans in the ship proclaimed that they would use the provisions on their own command and none can protest against it.

    This was totally not agreed by Puritans. In order to have a peaceful survival, the passengers in the ship signed a contract which stated that they approve to the community rules stated in the contract. It was the first, original and positive agreement which was signed in America
