    The idea of the republican motherhood was a very important one when it came to the education of the women in America. This idea was saying that the women are the ones that educate the children, as they are the ones that take care of them, and spend the most time with them, while the fathers were mostly absent from home because of their jobs. In order to have future generations that would be well educated and will contribute to the society in a higher level, the women had to be educated. If the women were educated, they would educate their children much better as well, thus it will be a circle from which everyone in the society will benefit on the long run. This resulted in much increased rates of education among the women, and as their number was increasing it was like a chain reaction, as the women that were not getting educated became interested about it and also engaged into education.
