How does the policy of containment relate to the United States becoming involved with conflict between North and South Korea? Do you think the United States was justified in getting involved with that conflict? Why or why not? (2 paragraphs)

    Explanation:

    The United States came to the aid of south Korea at the head of United nations force composed of more then a dozen countries. The American policy of containing ccommunism from expanding. On June 27, 1950 President Harry S. Truman announces that he is ordering U. S air and naval forces to south Korea to aid the democratic nation.

    The goals of U. S were to prevent North Korea from taking South Korea and unifying the two countries. This was part of the larger American policy containment.
