What motivated Europeans to become indentured servant's?

    Indentured servants were given new homes after they were set free

    In the hope to receive greater religious and economic freedom in the Americas. In Europe at the time if you were not born a noble, you would never be wealthy. But in America they believed they had the opportunity to. Many servants moved to states where there religion was not discriminated against such as Maryland after the Maryland Toleration Acts.
