The correct answer is - C. Religious authority.

The secularization of a society is a process in which the religion and the government are becoming separated from one another. They are functioning separately, where the government is the one that has the biggest authority and power in the country, while the religion/s do not have any political authority and power whatsoever.

Basically, this means that with the secularization the religious authority has been lost, downgraded. This process has started in the Christian based societies, continued in the Buddhist, and Hindu societies, but have not been accepted in the Muslim societies where the religion is still very powerful and is part of the politics and pretty much everything in the daily lives of the people.
