After three-fourths of the legislatures signed a proposed amendment, it will become a part of the Constitution. Thus, the Office of the Federal Register will verify if it has received the required number of signed documents. The Office of Federal Register will have to make a draft of formal proclamation for the Archivist to certify that the amendment is valid and is now a constitution. After the Archivist certification, it will be published in Federal Register and United States Statutes at Large. It will serve as an official notice to the Congress and the citizens that the amendment has been completed and is now a constitution.
