The fact that mankind is created equal, and born with God given rights, are the truths that were discovered by John Locke and others during the enlightenment.

From the enlistment came men who were free thinkers. One of them was John Locke. The principles in the Decoration of Independence declared the United States of America a free and independent nation. And it also stated the fact that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
