What Effect did the entry of the United States into World War One have on the course of the war

    by the time the US entered the war, russia was on it's knees with a civil war going on, and it had basically become a war of attrition between the axis and the allies

    when the US entered, they completly overwhelmed the germans with all the resources and soldiers on deck. the germans would've never won the war after then, especially because they got desperate and finished most of their resources in an attempt to finish the allies off
