Compared to the South during the Civil War, the North had more - miles of railroad.

    Explanation:

When we compare the North and the south economies during the civil war we find that the south economy was know for its plantation and slavery and was predominantly known as the slave economy. It was due to the civil war that the agricultural land were destroyed and the economy lost control over its slave and thus suffered a negative impact

The northern economy had less farm than the southern economy but the coastline of both the places was same, both the economies had experienced military leaders.

Thus we can say that Compared to the South during the Civil War, the North had more - miles of railroad.
