    1 - The causes of the Catholic Counter-Reformation to take place were:

    a) People disagree with the idea of having to pay to the church to forgive them.

    b) The church didn't want to translate the Bible into English.

    c) The church over abuse of their power.

    The effects of the Reformation were:

    a) The Christian church split apart causing many religions to come up in the following years.

    b) Many people who were Catholic stopped following this religion.

    c) The Catholic Church lost power and influence all around the World.

    2 - The most significant social and political impact was that Catholicism broke into two religions and many nations like England and Germany stopped following the Church's ideals and morals. Kings broke up with the Church, their kingdoms became richer and land-owners which make them even more powerful than they were.

    3 - The birth of the Protestants brought within itself the birth and growth of many other religions. The splitting of the Catholic Church into Protestants and Catholics led to a branch of religions to come up.
