Because the French women started to fight against this. They started attending riots (Women's March on Versailles) and meetings. And eventually started showing up to political meetings. (They did get support from a well known French philosopher and mathematician, marquis of condorcet - who was a man ahead of his time he. He believed in equal rights for all) he wrote an article about how women should be allowed in politics just as much as men, and eventually women were able to write political and publish political journals during the French Revolution.
