how did new England colonists and native Americans share natural resources? how did the want of natural resources sometimes result in conflict?

When the Europeans came to the new land they brought some raw materials but the native Americans were more interested in getting weapons like guns. So what i am trying to say is, that the native Americans have tribal identities meaning they didn't see each others as equal unless they were brought up in the same tribe. But all Natives were masters at handling the land and making new resources that the europeans wanted so they traded guns to the natives and the natives would often fight each other and Europeans who tried to expand
