    "Taxation without representation is theft" a common saying that justifies the colonists a lot. They also believed that as British citizens, they had their rights violated. As a protest, they started buying from others instead of from Britain, most likely for a cheaper price.

    So the correct answers would be number 1, number 2 and number 4.
