    John Chivington have to seek revenge against the indians because he believe that the indians in the camp were hostile to the whites. Thus he also believed that they were of the same tribes with those who had murdered many persons and destroyed much valuable property on the Platte and Arkansas rivers during the previous spring, summer and was beyond a doubt.
