I would go with A, because Native Americans have lived in isolation for long periods of time up until European settlement in the area. The Europeans have conquered diseases such as small pox that the Native Americans have never encountered and therefor are not immune. It could not be B because there are too many factors that contribute to the unknown disease, all of the countries are close to each other and neither require going to the new world to get sick.
