Why did Southerners want Native American lands in southeastern states such as Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama in the 1830s?

    Southerners wanted Native American land to expand and benefit from the production of the profitable farm and plantation land.

    So, they got the Federal government to evict the Native Americans.
