early in this unit, you read the story of Daedalus and Icarus. There are at least two lessons to be learned from this myth. What might those be?

    One of the lessons that can be learned from this story is that it is important to listen to your elders, and in particular, to your parents. In the story, Deadalus advices Icarus not to fly too close to the sun. If Icarus had listened to this advice, he would have been safe.

    Another lesson is that of not being too arrogant about your success. Icarus was so proud of the wings that him and his father had developed that he was careless, and decided to fly too close to the sun to show off. This led to his death.
