How is the US government similar to the Roman republic

    It's similar because a person can vote. the US is a democracy which is a branch off a republic. Both governments can vote. Making them similar.

    The US government and the Roman Republic both have the Executive and Legislative Branches in their government. The Roman Republic and US Government both have a set of checks and balances.
